Independent Learning PSHCE
The academy’s Virtual Learning Platform will soon be operational and there are plans in place to ensure that all sixth formers have access to some really ambitious PSHCE education through it, in terms of podcasts and other forms of engaging material. I will be expecting students to lead on aspects of this - so get your thinking hat on now and let me know your creative ideas of what we could do!
In the meantime, whilst the VLE is being constructed, why not also invest some of your free time in independent learning and explore just some of the topics that we will be considering through the course of the coming year. Click on the link below to access information and websites on various citizenship related topics, as well as contemporary issues such as mental and emotional health, eating disorders, and sexual ethics and relationships. It is part of a holistic and wide ranging education to explore these issues; they feature regularly in the news and daily life, and you are all, after all, citizens of the world. Many of you will go into careers that are connected to some of these topics, and some of you may well have an involvement through family or friends at some stage in your life. It is important to know about them: Independent Learning For Citizenship and PSHCE
